BOYS 1. JACK; 2. OLIVER; 3. HARRY; 4. CHARLIE; 5. ALFIE; 6. THOMAS; 7. JOSHUA; 8. DANIEL; 9. JAMES; 10. WILLIAM; i mean, why is [JACK] top for 14 years running? and [ALFIE]? is that a british thing? [ALFIE] reminds me of the tortoise in Esio Trot, the Roald Dahl story. the only boy name i like in this list is probably [OLIVER], but i didnt know it was so popular. im not one for over the top weird names like Bronx Mowgli or what, but something rare but not weird would be nice. though what i dont know yet. haha. Ill call the girl Imogen and the boy.. hmm.. something unisex like jules. HAHAA! guys name must think longer ah. velda. 曲:你不是真正的快樂 - 五月天christmas is over, i just realised that school IS reopening really soon. i am looking forward to it, to start studying again, and to attending lectures and everything again. christmas was fun; andy and i had a discussion as to who liked receiving and giving, and i guess i do like giving. i like finding a great present for someone and watching the person open the present. i like having christmas dinners and the pigging out. i love the feeling of love all around, and the trees and baubles and the smells of roasted turkey. but now that that is all over, its time to think about the new year! 2008 went by in a flash, really. the start of the year, i learnt a lot of things about myself, about what i wanted to do with my life, and the things i am and am not suited for. i am thankful for everything that happened in 208, because it made me who i am now, at the end of the year. and i think now my life has settled into a kind of routine, but i like that, somehow. i need to feel safe in my own comfort zone, instead of being unsure of what will happen everyday. i know i'd hate that. i like living in my own space too; and i like curling up with a good book. i was going to say something, but i have forgotten it totally. gosh. another time, then. *edit OH i rmb now. Take Home Handyman is a new show coming out on travel and living in the new year (2 jan), and it features my favourite person on While You Were Out, a home makeover show - Andrew Dan-Jumbo - somehow its just sexy watching a tall nigerian guy with a british accent wearing a carpenter's tool belt and creating amazing furniture. ![]() velda. the leica.

AIYOHH. oh well. let the vietnamese through to the finals bah, see if they can win thailand, which i really hope they do. and oh well, there's always 2010. oh yep, and the lions look good on those nike posters in the shops, heh. and the new jersey looks better than any other country's mah, so okay lah. >_< and i found a camera that is so pretty, oh my god! the LEICA C-LUX 3 is so freaking pretty, who wouldn't want it! im not a camera person, but if i had one, this would be the one i want to get. and you cnt deny the beauty and quality of a leica man. they make the lens for like, everyone else. okay, panasonic lah, but everyone has heard of leica what. but it's so pretty, i think the price equally pretty too. too pretty. ![]() and somehow im waiting for school to reopen, even though i know ill regret saying that as soon as school starts. i have huge piles of notes to bring home from last sem, and the textbooks to put in order. that means buying new textbooks again, oh god. and im trying to get my very desirable timetable that doesnt start earlier than 1030 (2 days 1230), and ends 530pm everyday for four days. to me, that is the best i can go. hehe. velda. nostalgia.
曲:No One/Tattoo/Where Is The Love - Boyce Avenueso i got talking with claire about old tcs dramas that we both used to love a lot, i mean, almost every primary school kid our age loved TCS chinese dramas then lah. like 9pm was our magical tv drama hour. and of course everyone's favourite was Wild Orchids, or 再見螢光蘭 with thomas ong and fann wong. thomas ong was the hot guy of the 90s man. haha. and the amazing thing is that his looks have never changed, even in the recent plastic surgeon drama he looked super good. and also chew chor-meng's vampire drama, the one where his hair was like one strip of silver or something like that. dramas in the past were so exciting lah. i loved that basketball drama from ages ago UNCLE当自强, because the lead was damn shuai. haha. oh and the story was good too. i just learned that channel 8 replayed the drama in sept at FIVE AM every morning. wah raos wasted. anyway the point of my post is to say im rewatching the new adventures of wisely now, with michael tao and zoe tay! haha i love michael tao he's always so cool. hehe. and i thought it would be sort of boring now that im older and maybe would not be so amazed by old dramas again, but it wasnt. it was still freaky and exciting, though a bit lame in some parts. heh. oh and im gg to watch singapore-vietnam on sunday with the usual crowd! i really hope we win. velda. realisation.
曲:スマイル - 嵐i was just looking through facebook and i found raymond and ginny from raffles hotel days! they got married in feb this yr, and had their first baby about a month back.. aww damn sweet lah! after looking at their wedding pictures (ginny looks damn pretty in them), and their baby nicole pictures, i realised that even though i have led 21 years of life, i havent really experienced it to the fullest. a lot of worries and troubles i have now, will never compare to the emotions in the later part of my life. so now, i think im looking forward to all those, no matter how hard, or how fun it will be, it will be a part of life, isn't it. the things that i want in life now, will be totally different from what i want ten years down the road. so why bother myself on little things now? =) ![]() a christmas theme to igoogle! its really arriving soon, isn't it? but somehow this year, it doesnt feel so christmassy as the last. maybe because its the holidays, and i dont feel christmas so much. oh well. but it is christmas! changing the ig theme to a holly one helps a little, i guess. ahhaa. went to open my uob account just now, to prepare for next sem, when i can stand in queue for the uob atm and laugh secretly at the people queueing at the posb atm. hehehe. =D i really hope i can my desired timetable for next sem, really. oh please please! *prays really hard* velda. hmm..
曲:你是我的眼 - 簫煌奇oh my god the dire state of my finances have like jolted me back into reality. this is not good ah. this holidays = must stop spending = must eat at home, as little shopping as possible; i go crazy everytime im out, damn. but its christmas soon, so the pockets will start burning a bigger hole on their own. haha. and somehow i have this weird craving for naan. butter naan! must rmb to go ask hemma and nan where to get good naan. haha. it sounds funny if you say the previous sentence out loud. =P sometimes spending time in hall is quite nice after all. esp when it just stopped raining, and its cold, and i can cuddle under the blankets with a good book. its monday again, whoopie. now that its the hols, monday blues never happen! haha. and im only updating because huiqi's gg to call the cops if i dont. >_< got nothing to say lah, except the semifinals of the AFF suzuki cup starts only on the 17th for singapore, against vietnam. velda. 曲:少年が故の情熱 - GReeeeNthis great song put me in a smiling mood on the way to town yesterday, i love GReeeeN and how they make you happy! haha. bought my Beedle the Bard but haven't really touched it, only the first story about the Hopping Pot. it's kind of interesting though, will continue later. =) wave some flag | i love watching ASEAN football, at least since singapore caught my interest in 2004, and them winning it again in 2007. so when the AFF Suzuki Cup started a couple of days back.. woohoo! here they go again! one super funny thing about singapore is that they frustrate the hell out of any fan during the game, but they still pull through in the end. hah. not sure abt their chances this time again, but we'll see lah. today's match against myanmar was dramatic, to say the least. and when the burmese team ran up to push the referee, i was like, wahh good, finally there's something to watch for. haha. its christmastime! =) velda. harry potter 8.
曲:扉 - GReeeeNomg i totally forgot to go get The Tales of Beedle the Bard. i need to go get it tmr when im out. =) I wonder if it's really as good as the fans have said, i mean, it is a book that doesn't mention Harry Potter at all, and i don't know if it's Enid Blyton-ish. O well, no harm getting it as a collector item. ![]() and ive been wanting to talk about THIS since it started two weeks ago, all this while i have been getting my iron chef fix from youtube, but finally Asian Food Channel has picked it up and its on every wednesday at 10pm. Ive been waiting for a chen kenichi or my fave, sakai hiroyuki Chinese or French battle but the first two episodes shown on AFC were Japanese and Italian battles. they dont understand fan needs! >_< dont you think the two of them damn cute (the yellow and blue chefs)? haha. amazing new song by Ikimono Gakari called [Kimagure Romantic]. fun! =) i like the music video, so cute! velda. thank you, and you, and you.
